Infra-Image (N24°56'41.78", E121°18'2.17") marks the beginning of the series, exploring how an architectural surface becomes an image through the act of viewing.

I stripped paint from the wall to expose the cement beneath, then illuminated the surface with blank projection light extending across a corner. The projected frame brings the adjoining surfaces into a single visual field, allowing the wall to be perceived as both a physical structure and its own representational image. The work locates image formation in the shifting perception of the same surface as architecture and as an image plane.
