The installation replaced the ceiling fan blades in the university’s conference hall with a directional speaker that emitted the sound of a fan. Concealed mechanisms embedded in the display wall and ceiling caused hallway elements—posters and hanging lamps—to sway in sync with the noise, simulating the effect of wind.

By fusing auditory and visual cues, wind no longer appeared as a natural force, but as an image-like construct fabricated by the mind. This subtle perceptual shift transformed the familiar space, evoking a sensation of displacement—unexpected, yet internally coherent.
