In a partially opened building at C-LAB, natural summer breezes pass through a space that retains elements of its former interior. A ceiling fan occupies its familiar overhead position, with its blades replaced by an ultrasonic directional speaker playing airflow sounds.
The sound overlaps with the air moving through the building, creating ambiguity about the source of the breeze. The installation explores how the appearance and location of an everyday appliance can redirect the interpretation of a bodily sensation.
