The work manipulates viewers' bodily sensations and their judgments of everyday life, seeking to create a sense of familiarity that harbors underlying contradictions. During the hot summer exhibition, the demolition of the building's walls allowed the outdoor breeze to enter the space, giving viewers a sense of standing outdoors.
I installed a common ceiling fan on the ceiling, replacing its blades with an "Ultrasonic Directional Speaker" that plays fan noise.By causing viewers to mistake the natural outdoor breeze for an indoor man-made wind, the work encourages them to reflect on how perception is constructed through lived experience.
