Corolla grew out of an experience during a seaside traffic jam in heavy rain. While the car sat motionless,the persistent sweep of the windshield wipers marked the tension of being stalled.
The installation translates this mechanical rhythm into the gallery. Piezoelectric microphones amplify the direct friction between moving wipers and a transparent surface into a low, resonant drone. The repetitive motion and amplified sound saturate the room, transforming the confinement of a stalled vehicle into a heavy acoustic presence.
