Whispers in Light and Shadow draws on the reflection and repetition of light across rippling water. Motor-driven mesh rings rotate under programmed lighting, continuously altering patterns of layered shadow and illumination.
As the rings turn, their overlapping surfaces shift between physical mesh and geometric light patterns. The installation generates a moving image through the interaction of mechanical rotation, light, and the viewer’s moving vantage point.
